Birdies is seeking an Oyster Shucker/Line Cook to be responsible for executing all aspects of our oyster program including cleaning, executing recipes and dishes storage, as well as shucking of oysters. The role will also assist with food preparation, follow recipes, maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment, and possess a growth mentality. An ideal candidate focuses on service, education, and a positive kitchen culture based on trust and respect. Common House/Birdies is a teaching kitchen. Learning and growth are high priority amongst our team. Birdie’s oyster bar is customer facing.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred, but not required, 1 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • Experience shucking oysters to order in a raw bar setting
  • Possesses a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and take direction
  • Self-motivated, positive demeanor, punctual, strong multitasking skills
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends
