Common House is a gathering space that cultivates community through unique programming, thoughtful design, and fine dining. Today, we have Houses in Richmond’s Arts District and Chattanooga’s Southside, our flagship location on Charlottesville’s historic Downtown Mall and New Orleans! Position Summary
Line cooks assist with food preparation, follow recipes, maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment, and possess a growth mentality. An ideal candidate focuses on service, education, and a positive kitchen culture based on trust and respect. Common House is a teaching kitchen. Learning and growth are high priorities amongst our team. Unlike other restaurants, we are a "from-scratch" kitchen that leans into creativity and innovation. The final plates and experiences delivered to our members from our kitchen is one you can be proud of.
Qualifications:
- Preferred, but not required, 1 years experience in a professional kitchen
- Interested in sourcing ingredients locally and seasonally
- Possesses a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and take direction
- Self-motivated, positive demeanor, punctual, strong multitasking skills
